Sigh. I simply do not have much time to be with my girls nowadays. I go out in the wee hours when they are still in dreamland. I wonder what they are doing at home when I am at work. I come back only to take a bath before heading off to the other workplace so there isn’t much time either. I wished I still had my 3G phone so I could see them when I chat. I wonder if it makes sense to install one of those wireless security systems that comes with cctv. I do not want to get those that need too much wiring so I guess I have to check online to see what is available and if my local telcos provide those service. Maybe I can then get a wave while chatting to my girls on the phone. Kinda like keeping an eye on them too.

My youngest daughter is always on her pranks. There was once when I was taking a bath, she held a conversation with me from my room to where I was in the shower over the top of our voice. I told her I could hardly hear her since I have the shower running.. She then said, “It’s ok, Mummy. I will wait in your room and tell you when you come out in a while.” I told her ok and continued with my shower. When I finished, I called out to her, “Hey, you still there?” She answered, “Yes Mummy, lying on your bed!”

Guess what I saw when I came out from the bathroom? I thought my eyes played some tricks on me.. I saw ‘her’ but in a weird way, lying at the foot of my bed… There ’she’ was.

Tiger year. Many of my friends, including myself sigh. We all felt that this year is just not a good year. Few of my friends met wth small accidents and various personal problems. However, I do see that there are quite a few couples who seemed to be having kids in this year alone, which is a pleasant surprise. I received several photo birth announcements a month ago. More on the way in the next few months. In the previous years, many would think twice about having a girl in this year. However, I find that quite a few of my friends are all born in the Tiger year. Many of them travelled far and wide and are successful in what they do. Top it all, they are all females. They work hard and they do play hard too. Very independant and firm in their own decision.

So, there isn’t all bad about this Tiger year. Start a family, by all means. Tiger children are bountiful joy, I am sure. My friends have proved it right.

I sent my laptop for repair a month ago. The screen was distorted and the words all looked weired, stretched and overlapping. I surfed online to find out what is the real problem using Ah Boy’s laptop. Most of the time I read that it was because of the video card. When I went to the service centre at Adelphi, I was met with a small room office, much like the waiting room of a doctor’s clinic. And inside were just two small cubicles for the service persons. I didn’t have much confidence in small service centres like that after seeing many top of the range PC service centre. When the number for my appointment was called, I walked into the cubicle assigned for and told him my problems. He turned on the pc and told me some problems and wrote on a little form and said they will look into it and call me. There I was, 5 mins into it and out in the next minute. Three days later, the service centre called me and said my laptop was ready for repair. That was really fast and I didn’t have to pay anything.. They replaced the motherboard, video card and in no time I could use my laptop, as good as new. Phewwww… that was Asus.

I knew in an instant that I will stay with Asus for a very long time.

A year ago, short of a month actually, my hubby and I decided to take the plunge to become full time hawkers. Aahh such crude, predator sounding word.. Hawkers. There, I’ve said it again. We are not green horns in food business, just that this is the first time, we undertook this job ourselves, from the preparations, during service hours and post sales, where the laborious and unglamourous job turn into. Washing the never ending bowls, cutlery and some preparation of the mise-en-place..Now, almost a year later, the stable business had both of us starting another outlet, about 10 minutes away. Hear say has it that the landlord who owns the five units are selling the place.. We may not have time before the notice of eviction… so this new stall will be useful should we give up the first stall.

I was in Watsons the other day. Wanted to get some moisturizer but DO NOT like to go through those sales ladies who only sell you their products… I saw some cool moisturizer and applied on my face almost an hour later before I went out.. Gosh I don’t know how good my Australian product is but it really makes me smell like furniture… or something… It has not only aloe vera but it has some key ingredient that can keep our face matt too. Cool but I think what I need most are those cream tubes of treatment for blackheads because I have lots of them on my nose lately. Any natural remedy? Can I use egg white?

Milo has a variety of 3 in 1, called Milo fuze.. or something like that. They are not cheap, by the way.. thus it was on offer recently. I did take this beverage but I prefer Ovaltine.. it smells fragrant and does not taste that sweet. That reminds me that I need to get more Ovaltine soon. Looking around, I read something called Lipofuze and do wonder what is that and how can such a treatment work… Fuzing few lipo treatments in a single time or different days.. Hmmm What else can we have fuzing style? Fusion food is among some of the popular styles…

I am terribly tired. I hard get enough sleep or barely 4 hours some nights. I wonder if I have shrunk so much lately because all my clothes are all 2 sizes different. My girl friend who saw me over the week told me she would sourced for the best growth supplements for me if I shrink more.. some hgh releasers is in her mind. I have no choice, knowing she is joking but still, on the private, checked out what these hghs are… Very funny - those are growth supplements, I believe more for the male gender… and of course HGH means high growth hormones! Yikes… please don’t get me those.. I want to stay young forever.. Can they work.. anti aging purpose, I mean. You go check it out..

My girls have been deprived of going out since we were both so busy running the food business.. I felt bad but I made a pledge to bring them out whenever I can or have any free time. They were ecstatic last week when we told them we were heading Orchard and it was going to be to Ion, the swanky mall. I had not been to Orchard for some months and it was a good time to get acquainted with my favourite shopping area once again.. I miss this place a lot. I miss hanging out at Borders Bistro with my friends and I miss Plaza Singapura’s buzz, CK Tangs basement, Isetan’s supermarket and most of all, I miss walking into Takashimaya checking out the Muji stuff.. do they still carry out Muji’s products?

So, to Ion we went… gosh it was exhilarating. The colours were just vibrant and the floors shone better than oily T-zone! I was impressed! The route leading to Ion was also brilliant. The designer labels were all there.. hmm I wonder if this place has more labels than Paragon? Not that I am into this but just thinking…. we dined at the foodcourt.. buzzing but apparently some of the kiosks didn’t seemed to have much business.. some were closed! I meant not operating anymore. I heard that the high rental is the reason that you can have a queue on your food items but it is still never enough to make a tidy profit!

After a few hours of jalan jalan, dinner at the basement, we took a breather outdoor along Orchard Road and got the girls some ice creams before we went home. Not a shopping trip but just nice, spending time with the family.

When a person stops eating, his metabolism goes down.. The body sends signals to the brain to reserve whatever the body can to prevent starving. This is what I read in many food reviews about people trying to control their weight by dieting. So, when you don’t eat, you don’t really lose your weight because your body is not using much energy, thus lose not too much of fat. And when you diet, much of the important vitamins, minerals and needs of our body is not met. We may fall sick because of lack of them. It is most important that one need to watch how one keep to a diet programme. It is also important to read a lot on diet supplement reviews before we just purchase any product online or from the local store. If anyone can remember, an actress almost died because the supplement she took was not being approved by our health ministry and some of the ingredients in it were fatal and caused kidney failure to some victims.
