Ok Ok.. So Google finally caught up with me. What? My PR, of course. Before today, I had PR 3 on this blog and now it is PR 0. What can I say.. It’s sooner or later. Google has been doing this for the longest time. It’s not about how much or how little traffic you have. I believe it’s about doing paid posts.

For now, I can’t really do much about it. After all, Google rules. They did that to my other blog early this year (they stripped my mere PR1 to PR0) but gave me back my PR (PR2) in early April. Now they strip this blog’s PR too. Guess I’ll have to wait several months later to see if they will give it back..

Would you be disappointed if they did that? I was, in January cos I only had one blog then. But this time, I guess I didn’t really feel disappointed or sad. It was an excuse to do less paid posts because I have been spending less time with my girls since I started with paid posts. That means with the lesser opportunity, I have more time with my girls.

So for those of you who have your PRs maintained, keep it up, for those who got additional PRs, congratulations. And for those like me, don’t worry. If you love blogging, keep it up. Google will give it back when they review Page Ranks in a few months.

And thanks to all my blogger friends who have been visiting and supporting my blogs. I will keep blogging, of course. And smell the roses a little. Call this a blessing in disguise. Have a great week!

One day rain, one day sunny. That is how the weather is like, lately. Is it like that where you are now? It’s making me sick. The girls have started to cough too. I get headaches from making dashes to the car in either rain or under the hot sun. I wonder how long more is the weather going to be like that.

With this weather, we really have to watch out for Dengue fever. Mozzies love warm weather and with warm air and lots of water, it is likely to breed. Pair it with the female Aedes, the risk of Dengue is there. I see the officials from National Environment Agency (Government) coming around more frequent to make sure we don’t have water collecting in our planters. They take samples of water most of the time.

I think I also need to get more brollies for home. Most of those I have are getting to be almost a decade old… I have not bought one for that long. Most of them are gifts. But they are showing signs of wear and tear.

My girl has complained that she can’t go downstairs to have a game of badminton lately too. It’s too wet.

In the late, many airlines has started introducing cheaper alternatives like budget airways and more accesssible travelling across countries and continents. With such no frills features, the seating capacity is usually limited in space and may cause discomfort in the legs when sitting for long periods. Such leg discomfort is also found for those who travel for long period of time and the blood that sits in the legs may increase risks of clot formation.

When a clot is formed, it can be dangerous as it travels towards the smaller vessels and if the vessel becomes too small, the clot gets wedged and may prevent blood or oxygen reaching the lungs. Such incidence may be fatal to the victim. This blood cot is referred to as Pulmonary Embolism.

It is recommended that when a person travels for long periods of time, one should from time to time get up and do some stretching to allow the blood to flow and prevent Pulmonary Embolism. This condition can actually be reduced through the use of TED Stockings. TED Stockings are also highly recommended to recuperatting patients in hospitalization whereby they are restricted from movement due to injuryies like broken bone, spinal cord injuries or those who are immobilized on the hospital bed after recent surgery.

The other day, hubby bought this Hot Mala fishball dish from a food stall. I wasn’t sure what it was and from the looks of it, it looked really hot and extra spicy. I love spicy food but my tolerance to Chilly is only average. Also it looked like it had fish balls in them. Do you love fish balls? Fish balls is something that I do not take. Perhaps it could have been I was fed too much of it when I was younger?

The sight of fish ball is enough for me to lose my appetite, really. So although hubby asked me to try it, I just shook my head, No Thanks! All those who knows me know that I am anti-fish ball, so please don’t ask me to consume those little white balls, ya.

We know that they normally catch the sharks, cut of their fins and throw the sharks back into the water. How cruel, right.

So I also have stopped taking sharks fin soup. I know of many traditional wedding couples who can’t do without this item for their guests. There other alternative in sharksfin nowadays is something similar. It’s using sharksfin bone, actually. I think it is the cartilage bone if not wrong because the texture is slightly springy soft.

Have you tried it? There are many ’sharksfin’ soup that are on sale that only cost as little as $2.00 per bowl. The taste is similarly cooked as in Sharksfin soup.

Look around us and you will notice that everything we use at home are not quite environmental friendly at all. Lots of posters and awareness about recycling, reuse are all there but sometimes we can’t help by go back to some of our old habits and use some products that are not eco friendly. If you go shopping, how many products or items do we see that is not a threat to the mother earth? Perhaps in future, we should encourage ourselves to shop in a store that encompasses all eco-friendly products. More new stores and business should be built with awareness in mind.

We can slowly but surely make a change for the better. We should try to turn off the lights, reduce airconditioning and turn off the main power switch if we aren’t using it. Using energy efficent products like solar panels and chargers and wind up mobile chargers and lights are some useful ideas. Shop at Eco Geek Living for all things friendly to our ailing Earth.

When I was little, I loved to play with paper dolls. I would draw a doll frame on a card, with arms and legs all in just their outline. The features drawn on the main doll are just the facial area. The body is left blank because the best part is to have the clothings drawn in as many designs as possible to dress up the dolls. The only thing that is attached to the body would be just flaps that are drawn and cut to fold over the doll frames to secure them.

Kids these day are very lucky. They don’t play with homemade dolls, toys anymore. Even dressing up dolls are all either printed or interactive. My elder daughter loves to play on the interactive Love and Berry machines that can be found in Zone X game arcades.

Lea on a Love and Berry Machine

These games can be pretty costly too, at S$1.50 per game. A card is released and with the card she has collected, she can dress up the dolls and collect more clothings or accessories too. I took some pictures of the cards she got on a single day of playing it. Each game (not sure how it is played, actually) is played by combining up to different combinations of hairdo and makeup, dress/clothings and foot wears. I suppose after dressing up the dolls do a dance?

Top: The card collection Below: The back of the cards

I also found out that these cards are so popular that one can also have them auctioned off at a higher price. Wow..

There is nothing more exciting than to be in the middle of the National Finals Rodeo event. If you are familiar with activities like calf roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, bareback bronc riding, you would definitely know how popular this annual championship held by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association is all about. A final event like this determines the champion of each rodeo event. It is also one of the biggest prized money rodeo in the world, with championship winners receiving the pride of joy of the gold buckle prize.

The up coming event will be bigger than ever because it will be in conjunction of the 50th Golden Anniversary celebration and for the first time an official logo has been released and will be used on all merchandise and materials.

So if you are excited about this as I am, you might want to start booking your Wrangler National Finals Rodeo tickets before it is all sold out. I had a good look at the best seats from an online leading provider for WNFR tickets. Not to be disappointed, I think the best seats will be located at the Center Plaza rows A - L, where you get a good view of the event, from the roping end to the bucking chutes, all in full view as well. There is no compromise for such a championship event that only happens once a year. Treat it as a Christmas Reward for yourself or a gift to your family members.
