Retail shopping is everywhere in Singapore. So many malls, so many shops. Yet there are no shop that has left handers’ products. How disappointing. I remembered how I met with an accident while opening a can of condensed milk. I just could not use the can opener because the way the can turns is just not for a leftie. Since then, although I have learnt to use a right handed can opener, I still could not find one that is for left handers. I’ve heard of shops in the UK and US, yet there is not one in any part of Singapore. If I had the chance, I’d give something back to lefties, by opening a shop for left handers.

Christmas is so near… few weeks more. I have not done anything yet. No decors because the Halloween ones are still there…lol Yes I am one who procrastinates. If you don’t see Christmas Decors then it will be Chinese New Year already because it is a month from Christmas… I wonder if I can find some funny t shirts online for my friends at Christmas. I am sure they would like that. It would be even better if I can get it customised with their names on it. That would be precious. And how about a matching cap to match? I don’t like to give photo frames as gifts because there are always too many of it going around during Christmas season.

I read in the papers recently that due to lack of employees lately, job wages have been increasing. With so many new hotels, food establishments and retail outlets opening, I am sure that this is true whether you are holding on to Project Manager Jobs or even Hospitality Jobs such as hotel receptionist or the restaurant manager. If you are out window shopping, signs of employment are everywhere. Displayed on windows and glass doors, you can see they want to hire part time or full time workers most of the time. In the papers, you see the employment section filled with so many posts available… yet no fish seems to be biting… Is it the job? Or is it the long hours in retail or do you think people just aren’t as hard working anymore? So will this affect business owners if they can’t find employment?

I was awed by this young lady sitting just a table away. She had the longest eyelashes I’ve ever seen. Really. And the mascara she applied made it thicker, longer and so curly too.. I pretended to look that way and look another way (away) when she thought she noticed I was looking at her.. No I don’t want her to think that I’m being rude because it really is bad manners to stare at someone… especially when you don’t even know that person.. lol.. but I really cannot help being so interested in her eyelashes.. (I’m not a pervert either… ) I wished I had the courage to ask her how to get such lovely long lashes but she was dining with a really much older *not looking so friendly* man… ok let me guess.. her protective dad?? hmmm I wonder if her eyelashes are the work of the mascara, the fake and very natural eyelash or it is something new like some eyelash growth products we can find in the cosmetic market? Do the actresses and other artistes wear them? Will this be permanent or it is just for temporary purpose? So many questions… I should have just asked her.. it may be a compliment to her and besides, I get my answer too. Oh, kick myself after that!

As I was walking along the terrace shops near home, I discovered that there was a little store between a trading and a bakery selling toiletries. One closer look it seemed like they deal with wholesale dental supplies because many of their stuff were more dental including many medical products and they looked like they are packed in bulk! But another look later, I found out that it was a pharmacy too. There is a little man inside with a lab coat and he looked like he was giving some professional medical advice to a customer. Hmm.. I had not known about this shop because it seemed so tiny and kinda like only half the regular store there. Then again, I had heard that few shops around were moving out because some fella had bought the units and renovation is about to start. I sure hope there won’t be too much noise.. I would certainly like to get something to stuff my ears if the drilling starts! Ugh..
