The Great Absorption

posted by constance

Sponges. I love them… facial ones, dishwashing types and even those large ones for car. They just give me a nice warm feeling.. don’t know why though. I used to love to collect nice big colourful ones and keep them in the cupboard. They are just so bulky but light in weight. I use them for my bath and I buy some of the cute cartoonish ones for my kids for their baths too. I just couldn’t resist it when I saw large pastel coloured ones in the bath section few days ago. Pink, Baby Blue, Lemon Yellow.. large ones @ $1 each. I bought them all. I also bought a medium Lime green one for the dishwasher fella at the stall and bought an Orange one for the other stall. I’m addicted to sponges. My daughters are addicted to Spongebob Squarepants.. both are just equally adorable! Squeeze them when they are filled with soapy water and watch the soap suds appear.. Heavenly – soapy-facial wash works well with sponges too. No scratches on your delicate skin. Try applying your pronexin on the sponge too, then apply on your skin. It might be the answer to an even best result!

Physical vs Mental

posted by constance

I started using my pedometer to record down the distance and steps each day when I briskwalk from the shop to the grocers for my daily marketing. I was never into any kind of fitness except for some court games previously. Since I started working, I have lost a great deal of weight and now I now find myself much fitter and do not feel easily exhausted when climbing up the stairs like I did. I believe that walking a lot really helps. So when my group of friends have coffee, started to chat and share stories about well known and popular healthy supplements or even ephedra diet pills, my mind actually wandered off to some other spots like fitness parks and stadiums. And I am thinking of getting my kids exposed to running by registering them in track and field activities. Perhaps that would taper of their addiction to online games too.

Skin Deep

posted by constance

Bumped into an old colleague and his girlfriend yesterday. He’s lost so much weight, but he looked much better now, and more confident. We used to work in the same department churning out ads like no tomorrow and he never stops munching on chips, Wang Wang snacks and more junkfood. With his never-ending gorging on those, it is no surprise that he developed a bad acne because he hardly drinks water, nor any other beverage except for strong coffee. His visual appearance bothered him greatly and he always get upset when friends asked him about girlfriends. Because of this, he always visit the local skin doctor for the best acne medicine, or that was what he claimed. I remember this doc, elderly, a little baldy and very straight to the point. I went to him once because he was very well known among my friends, mostly ladies and they claim that he has medication taken orally that helps one get a good clear skin. Not sure if it is accurate but I did visit once for the same reason and I think he advised that if you were to take those, remember that you are not to conceive in the next half year. Because of that I felt a little negative and decided not to go for it. A friend told me that perhaps those medication contains steroids but I really do not know. It looked like antibiotics capsule and one could always go back for a repeated subscription.

Strangely, my friend had his skin all cleared up but since he is male, he probably had no worries about conception. But it was nice seeing him happy too. Now, I wonder if this doc has anything for skin pigmentation…
