I wonder how agents always manage to get our handphone numbers. I do not give mine freely actually, only to selective friends. What makes things worst is that I always receive private number calls by banks and other strangers who are just out to make a sale in their cold-calls marketing effort. If they caught me in a bad mood, I really do not care and just give them a good lashing.. but if they ask me when I am in a better mood, sometimes I do entertain them a little bit before giving them the thumbs down signal. I feel quite evil sometimes when I really need my time and space and I had to pick up calls like these. I would just go straight out and ask them how on earth did they get my personal number.. which I know they would not reveal.. However, some of these agents do persevere and for those that do sound honest and sounds like they are really into customer service for the longest time, I do ask them to give me an insurance quote for comparison. That is already part of the battle won - for insurance agents. Yes, they do need these encouragement, don’t they.
