Friendly agent that became our friend

posted by constance

When my eldest daughter was turning one, I went to a baby fair at the Expo. There, I met Linda, an insurance agent who then became a family friend because she was a nice lady who went out of her way to consolidate our financial matters and insurance that weren’t even under the same company she works in. Anything we didn’t understand about insurance matters, she would be the first to provide a detail, clear and impartial view. I remembered asking her about some term life insurance quote and she didn’t pressed us into buying any plans, policy but left us to decided. When she was rushing to meet her year end target, I called a few good friends to see if they needed any endownment or their kids needed to buy policies. I even bought an endownment policy from her that month because I knew how important it was to be able to be someone in the insurance circle.

She is now a successful agent. Although she has very little time for us now due to her busy schedule, she still always remember to send us greeting cards, little gifts and send us messages via sms. The rest of the insurance agent I had from other company? They either have quit, prefer to service big bucks client or corporate company and don’t even bother to call us in the past 15 years or more since we bought from him.

it is great to have a reliable insurance agent. Mine is pretty good, always call me up updating me on new products etc, but she seldom give me free stuff unless I ask! :p
