Kid Love It

posted by constance

Do your kids love Trampolines? Mine do. If there is a road show in any mall at the atrium, the first sight of Trampolines will see my two girls trying them on. They’ve been pestering me to buy one for the longest time. Actually I would like to because it would be a good exercise for these kids. A trampoline at ToysRUs is much cheaper than the one selling at a gym fair. It is child friendly and padded at the side in case of an accidental fall. But that means it would only be suitable for kids. If I get one from the gym, it is about $30 more and I think it is optimized for adult too but without paddings at the side.

I know my kids want to have them but I thought it would be great for adults too (LOL, yeah – ME!). Still deciding. But I’ve got ceiling fans on my ceiling.. would that be dangerous?

Help for the Aging

posted by constance

Two weeks ago, I read in our local newspaper that daycare and nursing homes are getting too costly. And some of their adult children who have to work have resorted to sending these old folks in retirement homes in our neighbouring country across the causeway. I guess this should be a signal or wake up call for the locals in Singapore to set up more homes for the aged and disabled old folks. Although we already have studio apartments specially built with ramps, and safety features, I’m sure there are still many who need nursing help and assistance. Let’s hope that the children of tomorrow will find themselves some passion to be enrolled in healthcare training institutes as the ratio for older and aging residents will surpass the younger one in the next few decades.

Everything about Cowboys

posted by constance

When I was younger, I wanted a horse badly. I pestered mom to get me one and she said yes. But I waited for years and still no horsey came. I was only 5 or 6 and had already decided that I was going to put the horse in my dog’s kennel… *giggle* Of course when I grew up and became wiser, I managed to put two and two together. Of course how can we house a horse in a kennel at the back yard.. and definitely no horse is going to be delivered, whatsoever!

My interest in horses and animals did not fade, even till now. I’d choose holidays that would include horse back riding as part of their itinerary. I tried those farm-stay holidays in Australia before that provided those. I really enjoyed them tremendously. I wondered if those holidays at Dallas Texas hotels also provide interesting horse back riding? Or at least tickets to go watch a rodeo show or championship. Or even watch my favourite country singer, Garth Brooks in a live concert!
