I am torn. Torn between getting an amplifier from the electrical store at Harvey Norman, Courts or should I get one of those professional looking amps at guitar center because the people are really more knowledgeable about sound systems.

A fella who works at the guitar centre also works part time at the local entertainment scene handling the sound system for their artistes. He says it’s better to seek advice via people who are hands on in these products because only then will they be able to tell you what you really need. Some salespeople sell because they promote a certain product thus will never give you the proper information you need because they fear of better products by competitive brands.

So now, perhaps I should ask the fella to guide me and help me set up my TV and sound systems so that I can maximize on good quality sound at home… right?

I came across several people who dons the Korean clothes during the Chinese New Year recently. Do Koreans celebrate Chinese New Year as the Chinese do? Sometimes I get confused. i know Vietnamese observes Chinese New Year and the same calendar as the Chinese but what about the Koreans. Do they have a separate Korean New Year?

There are many Koreans near the place where I live and I am lucky to be able to enjoy their yummy and delicious food. There are also pretty Korean clothes in the boutique and my daughter loves their culture so much. She enjoys watching K-Pop entertainment and the show called the Adventures of Superman.

Korea has really progressed by more than a leap throughout the past decade from cars to mobiles and cosmetics and entertainment scene. Are you a Korean-culture fan too?

How time flies! 2014 appear at the blink of the eye… to me. I can’t believe it. Years have just whizzed me by. Will it be a good year? I certainly hope so. I wish for simple things, humble stuff. A blessed year, safety and good health. What about you? How had 2013 been for you? It’s been a roller coaster ride for me and not a very good year end either. But I am being positive now and hopefully things will look up.

Have not been baking for more than half a year. No more oven. Need to get one, albeit a tiny one. Even cupcakes are good. I have baking urges in the night… sigh. Chinese New Year is also around the corner. Anyone done with spring cleaning yet? Lazy me. Always at work, not sure if it will be done… never mind. Just like my resolution, Blessings, Safety, Health. This is 2014. This is for my humble self. Nothing more than that. My wish for myself, my family and for you.

Oh well, I had made an accidental turn one day across my home recently and guess what? I found a stretch of shops that not only had bakeries, eateries and enrichment centers, there were a few units of music school as well. I had quietly search for a school that would have string lessons and what wonderful find I made seeing their collection of gretsch drums, cellos, guitars and even the cute ukulele guitars in their window displays in the shop front. Oh drums are really cool but maybe unless I have a good soundproof room would I dare to pick up something like that… but maybe would be nice to arm myself a basic course that last 3 months, they say… hmmm

Can’t believe how time flies. I had just moved. Not exactly just. More than a month ago. I had stressed about it because I didn’t want to get it done during the 7th month, whereby the Chinese deemed as not a good month to move during the Hungry Ghost festival month. Good or bad? I moved before it and had rushed and rushed in packing and having house movers come in to complete in the third week of July… Phewwwww! A month plus later… voila! I’m still unpacking..hahahaha Too much on my hands with having to work and housework after work meant I hardly have enough time to unpack… One day in a week, limiting to only several hours of free time for me only!

Never mind… as long as I get it done slowly but surely!

As a child I remember how I loved to collect coins. Old coins. My dad used to pass on some of his old coin and note collection and I would just sit for hours admiring the illustrations and symbols on it. After leaving school during my teenage years, I had stopped collecting coins, simply because nothing seemed antique enough for me. Now, in my forth decade, I have started to turn to coins again ever since we got the newly minted coins released for use. My youngest showed interest, and that prompted me to search for my album of coins. By now, I’d say these are really antiques! But a new interest on the american eagle silver dollar is something that I am curious about. Something I have not collected, nor seen in real, except online sites. Are these similar to people who collects gold coin as investment, I wonder…

Eagles as a carved or illustrative symbol is really interesting. A strong bold and freedom in character, for this is what the Americans have chosen, is really admirable.

That was what I heard as I walked towards my room. My little girl was talking to her friend on her mobile, via viber… How did she knew how to use viber? I once told her she didn’t have many minutes in her mobile subscription and she told me, ‘don’t worry, mummy.. there’s viber and it’s free!’

So since that, she has been like a monkey, chatting non stop often with her best friend, or she calls her her BFFFFFFFF lots of FFFFF. For me, I probably think that BFFFF or how many Fs there are, it meant Boyfriend? well, no! Kids these age are so pc savvy. Or maybe txt savvy. My elder do not laugh anymore… it’s not so good. She sees something funny and she says… LOL, or ROFL. As in laul and roffflll spoken out, not spelled out… sigh. Can’t she really laugh it out loud anymore? These new generation kids are weird! Everything is EPIC to her. What on earth is EPIC?

We are gonna see a generation gap that suppresses our emotion soon.

As opposed to my title, No I do not get any… sigh. I longed to get some me-time, to read. I love reading. I can go to the library and borrow tons of stuff. I love to read anything, except manuals…hahahah no computer manuals or any other kind. I used to read computer software manuals too but that is no longer in my list of reading materials. As you get older, you can strike off stuff you do when you are younger… BUT I still love reading love novels, those Mills and Boons…Barbara Cartland…. all that romance. I LOVE it.

I suppose if I want to read more, I should be going to check out this www.readersofthemonth.com to see if I’m being voted there! No way.. No time for me to read lately. Except that little bit of status on your facebooks. Maybe I should start reading my mint condition newspapers first… I see stacks and stacks of them on my table, waiting and calling out for me…

Kiasu is the word. What do you mean, I guess you wanted to ask. Early Christmas Presents! Get the picture? Well, I have a friend who is asking if I want to send out my presents now. Yes, Now, May is the calendar month, of which, is nearer to the Christmas last year than the this year’s Christmas. I KNOW!

She sends her gifts by post and source them out on the internet. She also gets a good price buying in bulk and then, she sends them out by land parcel which, incidently takes weeks and sometimes months… to arrive. But she tells me she saves loads of money…hahahah

I guess before one can even do that, better source for good packaging supplies first so that one can get a headstart and good price to bundle up whatever you want to wrap, pack and send.. Right?

I had forgotten to renew my domain and found out that some website buyer had bought over my domain address and if I wanted to get back my blog, I would have to pay them a premium price for that… HA! whatever for.. Not that I use this blog to make money. But I know I have traffic but still, I would never let someone make me pay that premium price. Moving on to a BlogSpot also free up stress that I do not have to worry about renewing my domain, ever.

Also, the blog was for myself, my own recipe collection that I gladly share with people so if you still want to look for any recipes that was accessible, just add in ‘blogspot’ and you can access my recipes online again.

Now that I am busy and no time to bake or cook at least my food blog will be a memory to me, and when I have time, who knows, I can continue with this free BlogSpot again.
